Every other rib ges a clamp, and the clamps get shifted as you work down the kayak.


Drilling holes and pounding in the pegs can be a little tricky because of lack of space.

I think it's pretty neat to look at all those frames.


Ragnar works on what will soon become Snøhetta.








The only power tools used are battery drills.


Once the frames are made, they are taken outside for a nice coat of linseed oil.

We're getting ahead of ourselves now, but in the end, we had a chance to take our kayaks out for a test run, and paddle Kurt's kayaks.

Åsa, who built a kayak in a previous class. It handles beautifully, and reminds me of an Anas Acuta.
